The world is advancing towards an unstable climatic alteration with global warming, pollution, sea level rising and desertification. The increased emission has not only effected the population across different countries but also is responsible for increasing wasteland and sharply affecting the flora and fauna. With these factors constantly rising, the countries across the globe have come forward towards reducing the greenhouse gas emissions and restricting carbon release into the atmosphere so that the climatic apocalypse can be delayed. Thus, renewable energy generation is a significant effort towards the same.Energy remains the lifeline of mankind. It is also the major factor towards GHG emissions. Hence, generating energy from renewable sources like hydro, solar, biomass and such like plays a key role in cutting down emissions. The renewable energy generation is the foundation stone of clean power. Currently, there has been a considerable amount of investments in this regard, towards developing a technology efficient and cost effective power generation procedures.

The renewable energy generation is currently becoming the trend of energy generation. There have been some very interesting developments in this field in 2013. In case of solar power generation, there were capacity additions of 32 percent. The China is rising as the new renewable energy generation destination. The 2013 marked the surpassing of the renewable power capacity of the country over the new fossil fuel and nuclear capacity. In Denmark, the renewable energy was responsible for catering to the 33.2 percent of the country’s electricity generation. In Spain, the renewable energy met 20.9 percent of the total demand. The country also brought in a new regulation towards prohibition of the fossil fuel-fired boilers in new buildings.

Thus, strong attempts are made across the globe for more and more renewable generation, in order to achieve the goal of clean power. This part of energy generation is not only stabilizing the environment but also creating employment options in several countries. Currently, approximately 6.5 million people are directly or indirectly employed in this segment. Thus, with a stable foothold, the renewable energy generation is set to meet the major section of energy demand by 2020. Also, it is foreseen that the segment will have considerable technological advancement through the pouring investments and is expected to generate a major employment option in long run.
